Back into it.......

Hey how are you two? Keeping good? oh a cold, that's not good but glad to see you're better! Me? oh yeah lots has been going on, here's an update!

- Last Friday was a pretty eventful day for my cousin. We all went down to Clifton Hill on the falls ( also I need to avoid the beaver tails and the Build a Bear I swear the two are going to put me into more debt), anyways we had gone down to watch the fireworks in the secret garden (one of my fav places in the Falls). We were all excited but no one so much as my cousin who was planning to propose to his girlfriend Tracey and her kids, eep! nerves much :D. So were hanging out there and the fireworks start going off and my brother tells Tracey, Carl, and the kids he wants some photo's of them in front of the fireworks, blah blah we start taking the photo's the kids come stand by me and were taking photos and watching the fire works, and I tell them to look back to their mum and Carl. My brother asks Carl to look at something, Tracey gets distracted (she did this a lot, normally it would bug me but it worked in this situation), when she turns back my cousin is on one knee and proposes! She said yes (although I always doubt it before they do, can't help it), the kids were crying and freaking out and trying to figure out how they were related to us now :) either way it was an awesome night and I couldn't be happier for my cousin! Welcome to the family Tracey, Courtney, and Jordan!

- Saturday was a long ass Wonderland day, not much to recap here I got a seasons pass for next year as I already went a few times this year and am planning on going more next year. We went on Leviathan and Behemoth, as well as all the other rides that we would normally go on (Psyclone, Back Lot Stunt coaster, Drop Tower, Nightmares, RipTide, the raft one with the always stupid long line, and the tea cups to name a few). My brother got us Fast Lane passes which were cool (when we went a month or so ago he and I got them and it was totally worth it) It was a long night, but I did get a WoodStock Cup so that made it pretty awesome!

- Sunday was a trip to Zooz (or Safari Niagara) I honestly don't think I have stopped (BAH! need naps). The zoo was good, it was warm though so we spent a bunch of time by the Splash pad (which I love), we went for Chinese for dinner (Rob and the boys went to Fan Expo so the three of them missed out :[ ) Then we ended the evening at the Regency bar by my house, it was fantastic to just relax and enjoy the evening.

- Monday, I was back at work again but things are getting better so for now I cannot really complain about it. I left early on Monday to help take everyone to the Airport, which was so very sad. Rob and my Dad are going to eventually have a fight, it almost happened when we were figuring out who was sitting with whom on the ride, to be honest I am not sure how I feel about the fight. It needs to happen as they have both been holding back things that need to come out but I really don't want to be in the middle of a fight. The drive to the airport was uneventful, and the goodbye was very hard (I hate not having my family around, but this is just another reason to go back to Northern Ireland next year). I did find this cool thing at the book store in Pearson Airport http://www.andrewsmcmeel.com/pocket-posh.html they are cute game books, I want them all :D! We stopped at the Casablanca Service Center to eat some food (Mom and I got authentic Chitalian, it was an Authentic Italian place run by 2 Chinese guys, thus we have Chitalian). I cried on the way home but it is getting better, knowing he is happy and has people who are supporting him, plus they plan to immigrate in the next 3-5 years so yay!

- Construction! So at the end of my road (the only exit to my road to be exact) they have been installing a roundabout. Now I am familiar with a roundabout and have traveled on one in my life before (thank you UK), the issue I have had is that the company who has been doing the construction has decided to replace the very nice and competent female Signal workers with a giant douche with God complexes. The last week has made some major changes to the roundabout as they are nearing the end stretch of the construction. It is actually functioning as a roundabout before 8am and after 5:30pm when the workers are not there (don't get me started on the people who cannot drive in a roundabout) however every gosh darn morning when I leave I have been yelled at this week, Monday it was a CF so no one knew where to go, Tuesday I followed the signs and the sign worker tried to tell me I didn't know how to use a roundabout I chose to ignore the comment until I heard the "women drivers" uttered from under his breath which led to my stating that I followed the signs so if the signs are not correct then this is not my fault! Wednesday same exact issue, the signs had been changed at some point so I followed them, this time a low level construction worker yells at me for going the wrong way! Well I was having none of it so I went off "I followed your damn signs, if the signs are wrong don't yell at me for christ sake! Also the road's name is MEWBURN not NEWBURN! Do you guys even know what god damn street you're working on!!!! AHHHHHHHH" Then I drove past the very large crater they probably wanted me to avoid :D This morning...the trip was fine! No one yelled at me, and you want to know why? of course you guys do! It's because there were no workers and there was no douche with a God complex and a sign :D The people driving were...well they were horrible but at least no one yelled at me :P

Thats about it in terms of updates, I will probably post more regaling you with stories of Back to School shopping and registration, but I should get back to planning how to nap tonight :P

More details on the work update

Hey you guys!

So a bunch of people have asked for some more details on the positives at work, so here we go! My title is Training Coordinator (it's longer than that but this is the main part), I will be responsible for 3 sites and ensuring that everything related to the Training Department is organized and taken care of. My main responsibility will continue to be the ATP program that we have in 2 of the sites but there will be other responsibilities to come. I cannot thank my boss enough for being awesome and actually taking care of something that his 2 predecessors apparently were unable to or unwilling to actually follow through on.

Thats it for the work update, I have been in a writing mood so I might get more aggressive and you two might see more of me.......well lets hope :)

Update Time

Hey Everyone (I understand there are like 2 of you but you are everyone to me!)

I have not posted in a long butt time so I figured it was about time to update you both on whats been going on in my life :)

Lets start off with the annoying frustrations and then move into the good stuff, Anthony has been in Iowa since early July and I have missed the kid super lots, like a super insane amount. Please do not think I haven't enjoyed with Rob as just the two of us because I have, being able to just relax and not worry about the kidlets has been great but I miss my Kids when they are not around as well. So the annoyance, his mom who I tend to get along with quite well has put off getting his ticket to come home forever (seriously she just bought it) Anthony was supposed to come home the 18th, then it was the 20th, then she tried to say she couldn't do it until the 28th! Well I said no, the whole point of him coming home prior to the 25th was so he could meet my Cousin from Northern Ireland and hang out with us as well as go to Canada's Wonderland with us (he and his family fly home on the 27th), needless to say she bought the ticket for the 24th, not much time but she finally bought it. I get annoyed with this situation as I know they are tight with money, hell I am too but you know when he needed to come home and why don't try to screw us over in this regard! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh *Rant Closed*

Onto the Good stuff!

1. Camp, or "My Camp" as my brother calls it. We went back to Forbidden this year and my whole goal was to relax and just be myself. I have to say for the most part my mission was accomplished, with a few hiccups. Our Camp mates Rose, and TigerLily were as always amazing, I love those women so much they have completely embraced Rob and I and I could ask for better people to camp with! Our other camp mate, my "Sister" in our leather house is also Awesome.....except when she lets this new guy she is seeing completely change her! Honestly we got to camp on Thursday at Turkey Point (close to Simcoe and Port Dover) and she was mopey and moody because he had the nerve to try and tell her he didn't want to date her because of her involvement in the community, seriously if he cannot accept you then don't mope move on he is not worth it! Did she do this? NOPE at 8pm she drove to freaking Oshawa (3-4 hours away) and picked him up and brought him back!! AHHHHH either way that was a dark spot in the camp mate situation (somehow that became a rant I had been holding in but it needed to come out!) Back to the goodness at camp, I did some of my stuff (think pony play, and just having a blast as me) the weather was crap for a few of the days and I had a few accidents on the stairs (I fell down them twice!! Seriously, I was so badly bruised all the Dom's were sad they couldn't take credit for it :P The first fall I could excuse due to heavily water covered wooden steps and flip flops not meshing, the second fall though! I was holding onto the railing and fell again SIDEWAYS because I was holding onto the railing!!!), Rob and I had an amazing re-collaring ceremony and he presented me with a new locking collar (I am not sure the small group in attendance expected me to grumble and swear so much in my collaring ceremony but come on I don't do surprises well and I wouldn't be me if I wasn't a mouthy Brat :P) That pretty much sums up camp a great time and counting down to next year!

2. My cousin Carl (who is more like an older brother than a cousin) has come over to Canada for a 3 week visit! He came on the 7th of August and fly's home on the 27th of August! Rather than coming alone he brought his girlfriend of 6 months Tracy and her 2 kids Courtney 11 and Jordan 10. It has been an awesome time thus far and there have been talks about immigrating to Canada in the future which would be pretty awesome! The trip has been very busy as well with activities and visits to everything in the area. I went with my Mum, TJ, Rob, and little miss Diana to Pearson to pick them up on the 7th, then we were at camp from the 9th-13th so we didn't see them then. I was smart and took my second week of Vacation the week of the 12th so I could spend time with them, and spend time I did :P In that week we went to the following places, Clifton Hill (built a build a bear and they did Wax hands, we got the Adventure pass which even for a local for Date night was awesome only 25 bucks!), Thursday was a trip to Marineland, Friday we came to Work for the FREE appreciation day for employees and their families (DID I MENTION FREE), Saturday they went to Hamilton to the War ship and the beach and the evening was spent at Merritville! Sunday was the Niagara Falls tourist time, we got onto the new We-Go buses and went to Maid of the Mist (Mist! ha more like torrential downpour :P), TableRock (Mmm Timmies), Bus adventure up to the Floral Clock (complete with Monkey-esq tree climbing), and the White water boardwalk adventure! This week I am back to work so I am missing out on the Day Time adventures however I am partaking in the evening excursions, thus far we have gone Frog hunting at the Botanical Gardens (seriously one of my favorite things to do! all catch and release of course :P), and Niagara Go Karts and Mini Putt!! (Diana likes to go fast!) not sure what this evening entails but were having one hell of a blast! I am going to be sad when they leave but my parents are talking about going home next summer so maybe there is a trip there for me as well!

3. Work.. I know what you're thinking "Nicole, really how is it possible work made it into a good category when I have heard you complain all the time about work." well for once I have a positive to state!! As you both know I have been doing a job for the past almost 2 years without getting paid/recognized for it and lets be honest I was at my "frack this here is 2 weeks notice" point, well on Monday I was presented with an Offer letter!!! not only do I now have a title, I am salary, and I got a freaking RAISE!! it's not anything ridiculous and I am sure that at another company I could be doing my job for much more but honestly I like it here, and I love what I do! But I finally get a title!! Guys you have no freaking clue how happy I am!!! Seriously this is probably the last time work will be in the good category but I am so so so so so happy!!

Thus concludes my current update post, I want to keep up blogging but we both know I wont, so to the both of you please continue to be excited when you see that I have managed to post!!

Getting excited

Not much to post here but wanted to exclaim how happy I am about the coming weeks!

My cousin Carl is flying over from Northern Ireland on August 7, and I am going to camp on August 9!!!!

So excited! I will post more when I am not on my phone/at work!
